Graphics for Download in 2010 at GBC
or used to be anyway.
Attending George Brown College, School of Design in 2011 I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Canada Water Week through a program at the school. A few students including myself worked to create downloadable desktop backgrounds for use on the CWW website. The files were accessed directly on the website with attribution. The site no longer exists. I would like to work in such a capacity again in the future.
My contribution to the project was a desktop background. The composition was created using a series of watercolour textures painted by myself. At the time there were no stock resources for this kind of work so I made my own watercolour textures and scanned them. Then I composed the scanned images in Photoshop arranging them to look like a landscape filled with rivers and lakes. Other figures were added by tracing a photographic reference.
